Built on the site of the old railway yards, the Old Course Hotel owns the Dukes Course on the outskirts of St Andrews. The Old Course itself and the five other courses on the Links are run by the St Andrews Links Trust, see below.

Available to hire for functions and parties, Strathtyrum House is the family home of the Cheape family, who have played such a large part in the history of golf at St Andrews. It is one of the places in St Andrews offered by the Old Course Experience for those with enough funds to pay others to make the arrangements to play the Old Course.

 

The meeting place of the Crail Golfing Club from 1786, the Golf Hotel is 10 miles / 16 kms south-east of St Andrews (about 20 minutes by car). It has a small number of bedrooms and a Scottish pub atmosphere.

Old Course St Andrews

Located beside the eighteenth hole of the Old Course, Rusacks Hotel is owned by the Macdonald Hotel chain.  After the second shot, leave your clubs at the hotel door and take your putter to the green.

The St Andrews Links Trust has two clubhouses. The main Links Clubhouse, which serves the Old, New and Jubilee Course, is shown here and on the map above. Details of how to play the courses can be found on the Links Trust website.
